The Belle Fourche and St. Onge churches are currently in a pastoral search process. The first phase is to write a church profile which defines what the parish is looking for in their next minister. The second phase is to accept minister profiles and interview candidates. We are now in phase three, where the Search Committee brings forth a minister-candidate before the congregation for a trial sermon and a vote. That day is this Sunday (December 6, 2020). This Sunday, we will hold a congregational meeting to elect (or not) our next regularly called minister. All are welcome during this discussion and vote immediately following worship.
In the interim, we are being served by Rev. Chuck Aurand as our designated minister. Pastor Kim Bachman continues to represent the parish as she ministers to nursing homes and assisted living facilities across the state. Sharon Munyon keeps our office humming in her role as church secretary.
I hope you will stop by and allow us to introduce ourselves to you.
We would love to hear the story of how God is working in your life!
Rev. Chuck Aurand
I'm blessed to be serving this parish.
I grew up in the mountains of northern Arizona where the wintertime snow runs deep and the summers bring out the rich pine scents of the ponderosa forests under deep blue skies. Living with my wife and partner, Patti, we are at home here in Butte County. Indeed, my wife was born and raised in Belle Fourche. Most of all we love sharing with others during concerts and plays, or while we walk in the recreation center.
I attended the University of Arizona in Tucson, where I earned a degree in Religious Studies with an extended minor in Judaic Studies. My Master of Divinity degree was awarded by the Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. During my work in the church, it became necessary for me to learn more about technology, so I earned an Associates degree in Computer Networking from the North Iowa Area Community College.
We live with our two cats, serving God under this big blue sky.

Pastor Kimberly Bachman
Kimberly Kaye deeply believes that BEING church together means extending the love of God far beyond any walls in the church. She takes with her in her many travels, greetings to all that extend from our corner of South Dakota where the Belle Fourche/St. Onge United Church of Christ hold everyone in prayer and celebrate that we are all one in the Body of Christ.
Her primary duties here at our church will be to lead Outreach Mission Ministry locally and globally. In addition, represent our church in music ministry to “the generation before her” meaning all facets of nursing homes, senior living, retirement homes, assisted living and wherever the generation before her is in need.
Kimberly attended Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore Kentucky and then finished the last few months of her master’s degree at Grand Canyon University. She has a master’s degree in Christian Studies with Pastoral Emphasis. Her undergrad is a bachelor's degree in Psychology.
Pastor Kimberly Bachman is wife to Mark, mom to Jake, mother in law to CharLee, Granny to Miss Bristol and Miss Jessi.
She has a great passion for the Lord and music! She was raised on country music and have always played the classics. She plays banjo, mandolin, and guitar; music has been a rock to her.
She rides bike, weeds a flower garden, writes songs, and makes people laugh and feel they belong. Her ministry gifts are administration, preaching, teaching, and encouragement, of which, seem to naturally flow from her with great passion.
Kimberly is delighted and honored to be granted authorized minister of this church by UCC Board of Ministry. She comes to you with a servant's heart and look forward to helping in any way possible spread God's love and the Good News.
God bless this church!
